Challenge:
Holly came to me as she was in need of a new wardrobe to fit her transition from university into graduating and starting a new job. Holly came to me feeling lost; unable to find items that make her feel confident, that are versatile for her lifestyle as a young professional, and that fit her body perfectly. She was looking for some guidance in building her wardrobe so that she can start this new chapter feeling her best.
Solution:
Holly and I started her Wardrobe Revival with a wardrobe edit! I went to her place, organized her closet, and we went through every item piece by piece to see what to keep and what to donate or consign. She has been studying abroad for the last year, and had a pretty small wardrobe, so we didn’t get rid of a ton, but we made sure to say goodbye to the basics that were looking past their prime. I also made a note of what basics we got rid of so that I could pull some replacements. After her wardrobe was edited and organized, I took the donation pile and was on my way.
A few days later, we went shopping. I went ahead of time to Adorn Boutique and Aritzia to pull a ton of great outfits for her. We met at Adorn Boutique and had a ton of luck there, finding lots of adorable and versatile pieces that fit her body like a glove. Next we went to the mall to spend some time at Aritzia. There we found some finishing pieces like a couple more pairs of quality dress pants, and some great basics.
Finally we went back to Holly’s house to do some final outfit building. We put together a bunch of great outfits mixing together her existing pieces with her new pieces, and took some photos for her to look back on for reference and inspiration!
Result:
After our wardrobe revival, Holly has a wardrobe that was full of items that fit her body, and her new chapter of her life, perfectly. Her closet is cohesive and versatile, and it will be easy to build a great outfit for work everyday. She left the experience feeling confident in her new clothes, and excited to be able to go out feeling and looking amazing.
